LEADERSHIP + ENRICHMENT

Growing in Leadership, Knowledge, and Faith Beyond the Classroom

Students have the opportunity to participate in the following extracurricular activities contingent upon maintaining a C average in subjects and a C in conduct and effort: student government, academic decathlon, and altar servers.

Student Government

Student government is organized and developed so that it not only provides services to the school, Church, and community, but also develops responsibility in the students and enables them to become more effective leaders in the democratic process and in a Christian society. Faculty members act as advisors to the council which consists of a committee of middle school student leaders. They organize food and toy drives for the needy, run a recycling program, organize pep rallies and middle school dances, and hold fundraisers to pay for assemblies and “fun days” for the student body.

ALTAR SERVING

Students who demonstrate reverence, responsibility, and a heart for service are invited to participate as altar servers during school and parish Masses. Through training and active participation, students deepen their understanding of the liturgy, build confidence in public service, and grow in their spiritual life. Altar servers play a vital role in our faith community by assisting the priest and modeling respectful devotion for their peers.
